Information we collect
Delivery Information. We collect information required to deliver packages to our customers. This information may include: first and last name, address, ID number, e-mail address, telephone number, scheduling information, and other information of a similar nature. When you purchase a product from a store or from a third party website operator to whom we provide services, the above information will be provided to us directly by the store or the third party site so we can deliver the package to you. If you are receiving a package sent by someone else, this information will be provided by the person or business sending the package.
Site Technical Information. When you visit our Site, Buzzr also automatically collects certain types of information about your visit to the Site. This information may include traffic data including a user's IP address, domain server, type of computer, type of web browser, and other statistical or aggregated information about your use of the Site. This information is collected and used as non-individually identifiable information.
How we use information
We use Delivery Information to deliver packages, provide delivery confirmations, communicate with package senders and recipients, schedule deliveries and re-deliveries, and otherwise as needed to operate our service. In addition, we may send you e-mails providing information about the status of your package, providing site updates, special offers or marketing messages sent by us or our partners. You may opt-out of receiving marketing information by following the instructions included in the e-mail messages or by changing the appropriate account settings in our Site.
We use Site Technical Information to analyze Site trends, to administer the Site and improve our services, to track user movements around the Site and to gather demographic information about our userbase as a whole.
To the extent required under applicable data processing laws and regulations, any personal information that we collect will be stored in our database and will be used in accordance with such applicable laws and regulations.
How we share information
We will share your information with third parties when required in order to deliver packages, to verify the identity of a package shipper or recipient, to communicate with third party web sites or service providers for the purpose of delivery scheduling or billing, to generate invoices and package delivery receipts, or otherwise as needed to deliver packages or operate our service. We also share information with companies such as hosting companies, e-mail services and other service providers who provide us with services required by us to operate our own service.
Other than in the foregoing cases, we do not share, distribute, sell or rent any of your personal information with/to third parties, except in the following circumstances:
* If we have your permission to do so;
* We will share information in response to legal process, court orders, subpoenas, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or
* In the conduct of our business, we may sell certain of our assets. Information collected from users, including personal information, could be transferred as part of such transaction. By submitting your information to us, you agree that your information may be transferred to third parties under such or similar circumstances.
Any data processing performed by third parties will be subject to the data processing guidelines and privacy policies of these third parties.
Cookies and Tracking Pixels
In general, cookies are small text files which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. The cookies are sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit or are sent to another website that recognizes the cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device.
We may also employ a software technology called tracking pixels that helps us better manage content on our web site, to track the performance of ads, promotions, emails or marketing materials delivered to users. Tracking pixels are tiny image files which are not visible to the eye. The pixels have a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track whether a web page was viewed or whether an e-mail message was opened. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, tracking pixels are embedded in web pages or e-mail messages.
At any time, you have the ability to opt out of receiving marketing communications from Buzzr, but you may not opt out of administrative emails (for example, emails about our service or package delivery status messages) while you are a registered user. You can opt out by either changing your e-mail preferences or using the link provided at the bottom of each email message.
Children under 13
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at [email protected].
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal and payment information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, due to the nature of Internet communications, evolving technologies, hardware or software failure, and other factors which may be outside our control, the security of user information may be compromised at any time. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information and disclaim any assurance that such information will remain free from loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties who, despite our efforts, obtain unauthorized access.
